20/1/05 It was NP’s open house day cum 02 class outing day. It was the time I can earn cca points, spending the whole morning manning the Rotaract Booth then spent a whole afternoon at LSCT making ice-cream. SianzZZZ! However seeing those native and innocent secondary kids brought me a lot of memories. I used to be one, thinking entering poly, life would be more slack and stress free, but things turned out different. My day started it off awfully, heard some disheartening rumors about me. Leading me fuming the whole morning, Shit to the pair of black and white “business couple”. This led me to understand that the worst and deadly weapon is a person’s mouth. How come people can backstab you, unaware how much it will bring sadness to that person. If you are dissatisfied with me, just yell it out in front of me. Though you confronted me, things had already done. I was also left with despair. Hopeless and helpless indeed. What more you want from me, knee down and said sorry, dream on man!!
Enough of the fuming part, my afternoon was much better. Met Sylvia at the library, intended to take shuttle bus but need to wait for 5 minutes. Therefore we decided to make our way to blk 40 by the ‘bus no 11’ (walking lah), hehe on the way we saw an eye candy (Moses), we were like drooling over his great looking eyes and tanned skin. But too bad, he is attached. Ha-ha went to CE lab and found Zhi Ming & Calvin. Although both of them in same class but they seldom talked to each other .Strange! Zhi Ming, Sylvia and I went free lunch at level 2, not bad got fried mee, drum lets and packet drinks. Three of us joined Eileen, Mr. Joel and Dr Geng at the table. The conversion was quite boring, I got an urge quickly finished the lunch and ran away. If I get to turn back the time, I would rather the 3 of us had lunch on our own, and catch up with each other. Oh boy, none of my classmates had arrived. I was alone apart from my lecture mates. Luckily, Eileen was there to keep me company. I was very grateful for that, Jaclyn was teaching me how to make chocolate ice cream mixture. It consists of 8 egg yolks, 8 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of corn flour, 300ml of fresh milk, 300ml of whipped cream and 1 block of dark chocolate. Is it very fattening? Better think twice before eating an ice cream!!! I think I better change my favorite dessert to fruit salad healthier. Helping out at the ice cream booth was much better, using liquid nitrogen to make those cream mixtures to ice cream? Sounded unbelievable! Ha-ha, spent lots of efforts convincing those school kids that the ice creams were edible. Meanwhile I took a break, joined my gang at the convection centre pretending I was an o-level student desperate for the goodie bag. Fun! Sneaking afraid that those student unions knew me, lucky I was not that well known in poly. Goodie bag nothing much, but that was a meji hello panda. I liked it!! My brother came to my lab, so sweet of him, he helped me carried the goodie bag home. My friends were staring at him like an alien from Mars. Girls, can you all just spare my brother? I guessed he was freaked out!!
Finally, we headed to Fish & Co at Plaza Singapore. 1st time been to Fish & Co, lucky there is Eunice who often patron Fish & Co gave me and Lesey some recommendations. After some discussions, Eunice and I shared a seafood platter for two and a mermaid flush. While lesey and Matthew shared one, lesey’s drink was pink passion. Wait for the 2 les pair (Serene & Kassie) who sneaked out for a stroll while giving an excuse for toilet. Waited for awhile, Michael’s soup arrived. He was the only one who ordered a set meal. Everyone was drooling at the bowl of soup, making fun at him. Ha-ha, he never offered anyone some of his soup. Selfish guy huh? Then all our drinks arrived, my mermaid flush was damn big sized. I guessed it was about 2 liters, passing round the table as everyone wanted to sample it. I sampled some of the drinks, viknese’s was tasteless, adrant’s taste liked balloon, and Kenneth’s was overpowered with alcohol. Matt’s and zhi wei’s were the best among all those cocktails. Finally, food arrived; Kassie’s sambal fish was hot. The seafood platter was too much; I liked the mussels and the fish. Luckily, I had a light lunch. Eunice said I was weak, because I did not eat much… Sad! Hah. The dinner was nice, conversions were good. I had a good laughs, had a great time. The best was it was free because we had a very generous lecturer Mr. Joel to make our class outing so wonderful. Thanks!! After the dinner, we went to play pool at Le.Meriden Hotel. Ten of us, 3 gals and 7 guys (Kenneth, Michael, Matthew, Terry, Barney, Zhi Wei, Eunice, Lesey and me). Although same class almost 2 years, I never go out with some of them. Finally got a chance, haha. The pool was abit sucks, I was lousy. Need to practice le, seldom play since o-level. Had a great laugh, but abit expensive compared to beauty world rate. Never mind, played until 11pm, everyone went tired and very full. Reached home around 12.30am, everyone was in bed dreaming away. Took a bath, and went to bed.
