Day 3 Dec 19 in roma

HAd a very good night sleep, wake up at 7am and settled off to sightseeing.
We went to the vatican city. The main highlight of rome trip!! Vatican city is the smallest independent state on earth. They have their own bank (vatican bank), own radio station, head of state (Pope) and their own stamps etc. Very cool huh? The whole Vatican city area is only 193 rd. At this point, you may wondering such a small place what it survive on? Human resource like Spore....Hahah The economy of vatican city is supported financially by contribution from the roman catholics throughout the world inclusive the admission of the St Peters and the Vatican Museum.

KK enough of the facts.
BAck to my story...
Headed to Castel Sant's Angelo..but it was closed. Its said to be has a secret passage way to the VAtican city which is mentioned in Dan Brown "The Da Vinci Code". Hence we made our way to Vatican City...

The main entrance of the Vatican city is through the St Peter Basilica. Haha...one of ur foot can be in italy while another half of you can be in Vatican city... Be in 2 places at the same time!! Cool! I believed everyone should be very familar with St Peter BAsilica....is the second largest church in Christianity. One of the main architect was Michelangelo, whom designed the cupola, sculpted the Pieta and eventually painted the walling of the cupola. An Amazing guy.

The interior of the St Peter's Basilica was superb....if u think city harvest church is nice...u must be wrong!! DAmn wrong!! The gold interior and the super finest paintings and sculptures.... wow. U must seen them with ur very own eyes.....like a palace!!

Went to the Popes' tomb..... and saw the John Paul II 's tomb. There were still people mourning at his tomb.
